An author survives two interviews and a train trip. Starts miserable but is ultimately funny.
A story about how Harry Salmenniemi, an author, travels to Helsinki to give two interviews. He has to navigate the restaurant car on the train, Mall of Tripla, and other places. Everything is overwhelming, everything makes you anxious. The only sign of joy is the protagonist’s love for his son.
At first I thought this is to depressing too read but it was so over-the-top full of anxiety that it turned funny. Hysterical realism?
