A bildungsroman. Enjoyable seafaring in the archipelago.
A coming-of-age novel like the previous Earthsea books. A mixed bag: Le Guin’s description of the Earthsea archipelago is lovely, but I just wasn’t very invested in the protagonist Arren. Still thinking of continuing to Tehanu, which I haven’t read before.
